Sandra B. Rosenthal Young Scholar Award

This award program provides funding for up to four graduate students and those holding a Doctorate for no more than five years to attend SAAP’s annual meeting. Qualifying papers are those that promote the understanding, significance, or creative advancement of Classical American Pragmatism, and remain firmly rooted in this Classical tradition. The best of the four papers will receive the Grand Prize of an additional $1000.

“Radical Democratic Transition and Imperfect Compliance: W.E.B. Du Bois on the ‘Dictatorship of Labor’ in Black Reconstruction” by Matthew Tuten (University of Oregon)
